I've just finished read a book. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. This book is one of the non fiction book that makes me not be patient to read the next page. Every story he told makes me curious about how the ending. There is always a 'surprise point' on each the stories, so I often nodded and said to myself, "Oh iya ya? Masa sih?" Then, smile.
Outliers tells about success. In my opinion Gladwell's point of view is unique. He argues that to understand about successful people, we need to know about their 'background', such as their family, their birthplace, or even their birth date. This book say as if people's success depends on their generation, family, culture, and social class. Yeah, his perspective is different than most people. :)
I also like Gladwell's writing style. Since this book is full of the story, it is like a novel. I really enjoy it.
Practice isn't the thing you do once you;re good. It's the thing you do that makes you good.
Who we are cannot be separated from where we are from.
Achievement is talent plus preparation.
